When Swiftwind got to the edge of SunsetClan, he knew that he was almost home. He briskly walked through the disgusting, oozing bog, wondering how cats could ever live there. Thankfully, it was daytime, and most of the cats in that clan were nocturnal. When he crossed the border into Sunclan, in the forest they shared, he stopped to take a rest. Laying down on a rock, he began to doze off, inside another clan's boundaries.

Saberstar paced impatiently around the camp. Her head was reeling with thoughts of hatred and rage and....worry.
Batshrill rolled her eyes. "Don't worry Saberstar, they'll find Swiftwind." she purred. Saberstar lashed around and gave Batshrill a slice on the ear. Batshrill screeched in pain and arched her back with a hiss. "Don't you EVER tell me not to worry!!" Saberstar spat. Then the she-cat leapt up the rock and back into her den. Batshrill winced as a breeze made the wound raw. 'I was just trying to help...Shadowsinger and Stealthstrike please hurry!' she pleaded silently.

Shadowsinger and Stealthstrike had searched the whole territory, with no sign of Swiftwind." Should we tell Saberstar?" After all, they did need permission to go to other clans.

Stealthstrike whipped around to face Shadowsinger. "And get our fur torn off! I think NOT!" he hissed. "We're going to search in SunClan territory. If we don't find him there, THEN we'll report to Saberstar. I am NOT going to go back and tell her that we couldn't find him because we didn't search hard enough. She KILL me!" He whipped back around and headed to the SunClan border.

Shadowsinger followed in silence behing Stealthstrike, humbled by his yowling. What he said was true. If they told Saberstar, they would be back on apprentice duties for moons. She didn't speak for the longest time, letting him lead the way. Hopefully, they would find him be nightfall.

Swiftwind woke up dazed. How could he have even considered snoozing in another clan's territory! He was so lucky that a patroll hadn't found him yet... Quickly, he masked his scent and started walking back to camp, when a faamiliar scend drifted up to his nostrils...

Stealthstrike crossed the border without hesitation and padded on looking for their clanmate. He was getting annoyed and edgy, not only because they couldn't find Swiftwind, but also because he was afraid of what Saberstar might do if they went back without him. A breeze picked up and swept through the trees. It carried the scent of prey, and another familiar scent. Swiftwind! He turned to face Shadowsinger. "Did you smell that?"

Shadowsinger was also sniffing the air curiously." Yes... If I'm not mistaken, I think that I scent Swiftwind. What do you think?" Knowing her partner's answer, she quickly meowed,"Let's go!" and tore off towards the scent.

Running along the edge of the border, Stealthstrike and Shadowsinger finally caught up with Swiftwind. "Where have you BEEN!" Stealthstrike hissed. "Saberstar just about KILLED US! She was already in a bad mood when she woke up and you being gone made it WORSE! We're goin back to camp now and if you run of again, I'll personally tear your fur off."

Swiftwind was shocked. Then, he realized that they didn't know that he had been pushed into the stream. Stealthstrike probably thought that he had run off for fun... " Ok, coming..." Then, he started telling them his story as they walked back to camp under the rising sun, not knowing if they would believe him. What would Saberstar do when he got back to camp?

Stealthstrike rolled his eyes while listening to Swiftwind's story. It sounded pretty far fetched, but what could he do. If that was what actually happened, it didn't matter now. Whatever happened happened, and all Swiftwind could do know was hope that Saberstar believed him. "Fine," he sighed as they arrived back at camp. "I believe you, but I can't promise you that Saberstar will."

Saberstar paced back and forth and glared at the sky. It was almost moonhigh and they weren't back yet. 'Where are you...' she thought blackly.
Batshrill's head whipped up as a breeze brought the familiar scent of a Clanmate. "They're back!" she yowled, hurrying toward the entrance. Saberstar sped past her with a growl until they reached the edge of the entrance.

Stealthstrike padded back through the tunnel, his head high as he passed. Swiftwind and Shadowsinger followed behind him. He turned to Saberstar. "Sorry for being gone so long, but Swiftwind has a very interesting story to tell you." he meowed, his voice low.

Saberstar let out a low rumble baring her teeth a searing the ground with her claws. "I'm all ears...." she snarled, her eyes slitted with a roughly contained fury.
Batshrill looked up at Shadowsinger. "She's mad...I told her to relax and...well...look." she meowed, showing Shadowsinger the claw marks. "I deserved it though...I am a bit too soft for her liking." she meowed.

Stealthstrike sat down a few fox lengths away and started grooming himself. He looked up every once in a while, waiting for Saberstar's rant to begin. Chances were, she wouldn't even let Swiftwind finish his story before she gave him a scar of some kind. He laughed to himself when Swiftwind began. Saberstar looked like she wasn't paying attention, only waiting for him to finish so she could sink her claws into him.
