"I don't think it was that bad." Shadowsinger mewed to the apprentice, smiling slightly on the inside. "She does not hate you that much...in fact, I think it might have been kind of hard for her to do that. Not that Saberstar ever lets it show." Her voice stooped down into a low wisper. '"Well, at least I think. Maybe she is jusst a mousebrained jerkface after all." She glanced around just in time to see Stealthstrike and Swiftwind sulking off to somewhere. The she-cat could almost see stormclouds forming around them. Obviously someone was not in a good mood this evening. Then again, who in the right mind would be? Darkpaw was staining the ground with his blood, Shadowsinger had a nasty headache, and Saberstar had just returned from a useless mission and was now in a bad mood. And when Saberstar was in a bad mood, the entire clan was in a bad mood. What a day. "And I lied. Before. About being fine." The warrior grimaced through closed, clenched teeth. She stared at Darkpaw, eyes narrowing in a burst of pain. "Actually, I feel like...like I'm going to faint. But it's okay. Just hurrry up and help me get to the medicne cat.." She said in a slightly sarcastic manner. (Who's the meddie cat? *can't remember*) Swiftwind was also just as eager to follow Stealthstrike and get this patroll over with. The faster the two of them got this job done, the sooner Swiftwind could go and crash in his nest. Even the thought of his nest made the tom drool a little inside, with all of its warmth and comfortableness...as long as no one put thorns in there. Or gave him the bug-infested moss. It seemed to happen all too often. Lost in his own thoughts, Swiftwind was jerked back into reality by Stealthstrike's harsh voice. "I'm coming!" He said, seeing the tom glare through the tunnel. Quickly, he sprinted towards the entrance, just fast enough to trip over a vine and fall flat on his furry face. "I'm fine." He groaned, pushing himself up to all four feet.

Darkpaw's eyes shot wide open as if someone had just clawed his backside. "Hold on Shadowsinger!" he gasped, rushing to catch the warrior before she fell. He dug his paws into the ground and struggled under her weight, not to mention that the shoulder he happened to catch her on was his wounded one. He hissed in pain and frustration but didn't dare shout for help. He would get Shadowsinger safely to the medicine cat den and then head straight to his nest once he was sure she would be safe. "Come on," he grumbled to himself as he walked Shadowsinger over to the den.
Stealthstrike hissed as he heard the thud behind him and turned to see what had happened. There lay Swiftwind, crumpled in a pile on the ground. When at last the tom had pulled himself to his paws, Stealthstrike growled. "Watch where you step. If you hurt yourself any more, don't expect me to drag you back to camp." His words were a bit harsh but Stealthstrike was done for the day. He knew he would carry Swiftwind back to camp anyway and Swiftwind probably knew it too, but that didn't matter. All he wanted was to get this day over with and to be able to crawl back into his nest and sleep.

Batshrill assisted the young apprentice, eyeing the two of them worriedly. Their leader was horribly ruthless. What kind of nine lives had she been given? Did she even follow the directions that StarClan had given her? She placed the she cat down. "Darkpaw, you may want to lay down too. That cut in your shoulder looks pretty nasty." she purred, wincing.
Saberstar sat in her den, her eyes watching the Clan, disgust ripping at her chest. She spat furiously and curled her tail around her forpaws.

Darkpaw glanced at Batshrill but continued to help Shadowsinger. "I'm fine," he mumbled, not sure if his words were clear enough for Batshrill to understand. "I'll help Shadowsinger and then go rest, but I want to make sure she's ok first." The pounding in his shoulder made walking harder than he had anticipated, but there was no way he was backing out now. He said he'd help Shadowsinger and he would. Besides, he wasn't going to let a little pain stop him from doing what he wanted to do.

Darkpaw glanced back at the she-cat, the glare in his eyes visible. "I'm fine," he repeated. Batshrill was only trying to help, but he was in a bad mood and in no way did he wish to continue arguing about this. But it was Batshrill and she was bound to keeping pushing the subject until he gave in, especially since he was only an apprentice and she a warrior. Shadowsinger seemed to get a little heavier with each step and for a moment, Darkpaw wished he had just let Batshrill help. The waves of pain were rolling in faster and he suddenly realized he hadn't yet cleaned his wound. The dirt in it was probably beginnig to irritate the skin and he winced at the brief thought of never fully recovering. "Are you ok Shadowsinger?" he asked as he tried to take his mind away from his shoulder.

"Holding on." Shadowsinger half grunted, half hissed at Darkpaw. Just what was that cat thinking? He was having enough troubles standing on his own, much less with her weight sprawled across his thin back. Tomcats. They were all the same, thinking they could do everything and thinking that pain was just a feeling and nothing more. She almost rolled her eyes, but something stopped her. The she cat suddenly grimaced as reds and blacks danced around the edges of her vision. Just how hard had she hit her head again?
"Thanks for the advice." Swiftwind groaned sarcastically as he quickly picked himself off of the ground with all four paws. "I swear, everyone here's out to get me. Even the vines hate my guts." Swiftwind complained as he exited the tunnel and followed Stealthstrike into the Duskclan territory, all the while wondering what he had ever done to any plant to make them all so annoyed with him.
