"We're passing through the Fractured Desert," he rumbled, leaning back against the warm stone. "There we will pick up some more recruits and head back home."

Talon sighed, rubbing her forehead against one of her outstretched paws. What are they thinking? She wondered. If they think they can just waltz through the Fractured Desert, they're stupider than I thought. She laughed to herself as another thought came to mind. Hehe...I can't wait to watch them deal with what's coming their way...Should I warn them? The puma shifted slightly in her pose, letting the question sink into her brain. Nah...

"Jendari...isn't the Fractured Desert...you know...dangerous. Especially the Desert Foxes. Their very territorial since we last invaded...are you sure it's a good idea." He whispered, his tail flicking anxiously.

Jendari laughed, amusement instead of fear in his eyes. "Rowan, what part of this world isn't dangerous? We'll never get anywhere if we don't take risks. Plus, what better recruits than those nasty little Desert Foxes? I didn't say cutting through would be a walk in the park, but don't you think it would be worth it? Why do we need Nile on our side, when we can have the entire Desert Village?" Jendari shifted his position again, taking his sword off his back and placing it on the ground. He cracked his knuckles and leaned back against the rock, comfortably. "Anyway, the less enemies we have in the desert, the better. If we can make peace with them, we'll have powerful allies. Desert creatures are known to be tough. Also, making peace with the Desert Village puts us in control of those who cross the desert. But we'll need a few gifts of peace..."

Talon laughed to herself in a way that probably made everyone around her nervous. They may try to make peace, but with me around, that's not likely to happen. The people of the Fractured Desert will not be pleased to see me, that's for sure. She thought to herself. Passing through the desert would not be smooth, and the whole thing about 'friendly gifts' worried her. She grabbed her spear tightly, knuckles turning white underneath her warmed fur.

Leo went over to lay by his mom Aria, whos eye's cracked open, she licked Leo when he layed by her side. Leo closed his eye's still mad, but more relaxed now.

"Let's go then," Talon laughed again. "I'm not going to let a few desert foxes stop me." She slung her spear over her back, rising from the warmed rock and stiffly stood, gazing across the Fractured Desert. This should be interesting... She purred softly to herself.

Jendari nodded. "If everyone is ready, we'll leave now," he called, eyeing Aria and Leo. That cub was bound to slow them down. And if he was captured, that would be even worst, not to mention a waste of time trying to get him back. "Rowan, keep a close eye on Aria and Leo. I don't want them getting lost again, and Leo repecially needs to be looked after," the lion growled.

Rowan rumbled in response heading towards the back of the pack and waiting for Jendari's orders. He glared at Leo. "Now are you going to walk like a Warrior or do I have to carry you like the cub you've been acting like lately." he growled his eyes fiercely burning.

Leo narrowed his eyes, and looked at Talon. Oh so I can't asked where we are going without getting yelled at, and grumpy here gets to decide when we go!...... " I don't walk like a warrior, I run like one." He said going ahead of him.
Aria got up and slapped Leo with her tail for his rude words, and got ready for the long dry trip.

Rowan raised his voice. "Alright, listen up. The next couple of hours we'll follow Jendari through greuling conditions. I will tolerate no whining, fighting or going against orders is that clear?" he snarled to the group standing at his feet.

Leo yelled "As clear as glass! I am ready!"

Jendari rolled his eyes. That cub is gonna be one pain in the ass. "We're leaving now, so if anyone still needs to get something, speak now. We're not stopping once we start moving," he roared, making sure everyone heard him.

Rowan crossed his arms waiting. Before they were off he turned to Jendari. "What are we going to do about Leo. Knowing him he won't keep his mouth shut. His ticking me off already." he grunted.

Talon sheathed her spear, and gave Jendari a quick, polite nod. She knew when to hold her tongue, unlike Leo. "I'm ready for whatever this dump can throw at me." She said softly, before Rowan walked over and started talking.
