Jaguar nodded, "Thank you Hazelkit," he added with a purr and a respectful nod to Echostar. He rushed towards the medicine cats den and snorted loudly as the reek of fresh blood stung his nose. He made his way into the pitch black den, navigating blindly until he found Crow. "Yeah?" he meowed.
Crow looked at him. "Did Echostar leave yet?" she murmured.

Echostar padded through the forest, her head low and he pace quick and edgy. If Grimjaw and Monarchwing are out for too long, there's a good chance the other clans may take it as an opportunity, even if they are weak little kittypets. I can't risk letting all of the DawnClan cats leave. She quickened her pace and made her way to the DawnClan border. She stood on the border for a few moments, just staring out at the other clan's territory. A small sigh escaped and she sat down, keeping her attention on the land spread out in front of her.
Grimjaw sighed. Sleep was evading him for some reason and he didn't like it. Now there was no way to escape the pain, even though the poppy seeds helped a bit. He winced as a sharp pang hit him in his chest. Any sort of deep breathing hurt. He growled again in annoyance. His attention was drawn to a new scent inside the den. Another cat. How many DawnClan cats are here? he wondered, hoping that if he had to fight them, he had enough energy to win at least once.

"Grimjaw, meet Jaguar...star," she mewed warily adding the 'star' on the end so they didn't think they were weak. "He's going to help me set your broken wrist, it'll be very painful at first, but when set it'll feel as if you didn't break it at all. Do you want me to give you, a pain easer stronger than poppy seeds." She purred gently.
Jaguar licked the last of the blood from Grimjaw's fur, flicking his tongue to attempt to get the rust blood tang from his tastebuds.

Grimjaw growled and flicked his tail, however slightly he could move it. "Fine, but make it quick..." He eyed Jaguar...star. He must be their leader. But the way she hesitated..... He must not have all his nines lives yet.... Oh well. It's not like there's anything I can do. He moved his head slightly, just enough to see Monarchwing. "Is she awake yet? Is she ok?" he rasped, his throat still dry and cracked.

"Grimjaw!" Nightfrost happily mewed as the great warrior paddled over to his clanmate. He said it with heavy relief, with a little happiness. "I'm glad to see you're finally up," he sighed deeply. "For awhile there... We weren't sure you were going to get back up." A hint of a smile returned to his eyes. "But we're Sunsetclan warriors, right?" A bit of humor wormed it's way in."It'll take more that three foxes to drive us out!"

"Yeah," Grimjaw replied, suddenly sounding tired. "More than three." His head lowered back down into the nest and he closed his eyes slowly, letting Nightfrost's waves of happiness and enthusiasm flood over him. "Hey, Nightfrost?" he asked, not moving or even opening his eyes. "You ok?"

Crow slid around Nightfrost. "Just curious, why are you so worried about...her, Monarchwing?" she purred, not tryiing to rub him in the wrong way. She picked up her pile of thorns and places them into Monarchwing's flesh around a twig. Blood oozed out where the thorns stuck, but she had to get the infected twig out. She placed her paws on all of the thorns and pushed inward and up so the twig slid out of her ribs. She grasped the wood between her teeth and pulled it out the greenish colored pus slipping off the stick and onto the ground. She hastily spat out the wood and followed by pulling out the embeded thorns and placed them on the ground. "Nightfrost...has Echostar returned with the herb I requested?" she purred, her bright eyes narrowing.

Grimjaw glared at Crow for a split second but imediately erased the harsh look from his face. She was only trying to help him, but she didn't need to pry. None the less, the question did bring a few thoughts to mind. Having to think about it, Grimjaw finally replied, "I don't really know. I mean, she's my clanmate and I have every right to be worried, but I can't help but think it's something more." He smiled for a second before adding, "Like it's something more. I'm still not realy sure how she feels about me or even how I feel about her. I'm just being stupid about the whole thing." Snatching a last glance at Monarchwing, Grimjaw closed his eyes again. "Just hurry yp with the wrist if you can."
Echostar stared out across the field for a last second. She had scented two cats on the last breeze, cats from DawnClan. The lst thing she wanted was them susspecting anything so she quickly turned and disappeared into the bushes. Padding through the trees, she noticed something. There were no birds singing, no squirrels running about, no mice scurring somewhere. The entire forest had fallen silent. It's as if they know my plan already. Quickening her pace, Echostar padded faster and faster until she reached the Murk Stream. She'd hoped no one had wondered why she had been gone longer than she had to. She sniffed out the horsetail and pulled a clump out with her mouth. Without missing a beat, she whipped around and headed straight for the camp. She didn't pause when she entered and headed directly for the medicine cat's den. She bolted through, not noticing Nightfrost at first, and sat the horsetail down next to Crow. "Here it is." She looked back at Grimjaw for a moment. He seemed to be ok, for the moment. "How are they doing?" she asked, not taking her eyes off the warriors.

"I had to remove a twig from the ribs of this one..." she purred glancing at Monarchwing. "She'll be fine...she's a swift healer...very swift. Thank you Echostar, I'll get back to work." Crow said with a bow of her head. When she had left Crow looked at Monarchwing and placed a poultice of horsetail on the gash. "You know Grimjaw....love is nothing to be ashamed of..." she smiled and left it at that.

Grimjaw's eyes tore open and his breathing quickened for a minute. Is that what it was? Love? But, it couldn't be. Monarchwing didn't love him. She loved Nightfrost, didn't she? He eyed Crow again. She was standing over Monarchwing and applying a poultice to one of her wounds. "It's not love," he rasped, glancing at Nightfrost who was still standing in the den. "It can't be..."
Echostar nodded and padded out of the den, leaving Crow to her work and the warriors to their healing. "Nightfrost!" she hissed once she was out of the den. "Come here."

Crow rolled her eyes and sighed. "You truly are blind aren't you...." she scoffed. 'She risked her life for you according to Echostar. Echostar had seen the way she looked at you...and in the detail she had given it, I could see it clearly in my mind." she hissed. She sighed again and padded over to Monarchwing. "Just go back to sleep."

Grimjaw shook his head, even ever so slightly that he could without causing himself too much pain. But Crow's words stuck in his head and his mind began to wrap around them and twist into images. Monarchwing had thrown herself between him and the foxes multiple times and she had gotten up time after time to defend her clanmates. Grimjaw gritted his teeth, hard. How could he have been so weak! Monarchwing had nearly died for her commitment to her clan, and here he was, completely awake and not a thorn in his side to show for it. He growled loudly and opened his eyes, furious. He would not let his clan down again! Slowly, he staggered to his feet and ignored as best he could, the fire that pulsed wave after hell-fire wave through his body. He finally stood without shaking, but was panting. Forgetting who and what was around him, he turned around and headed for the enterence of the den, limping. A stole a glance at Monarchwing, who was still bloody and laying on the ground, unconcious. He growled again, angry with himself, and continued to the enterence of the medicine cat's den.

Crow snarled and leapt in front of him, her fur bristling and her eyes lit with cold flame. "LAY BACK DOWN!!!" she snarled, viciously unsheathing her claws and drawing up the side of her lip in a furious snarl. The idiot was going to tear something and injure himself farther than he already was. "NOW!" she snapped, blocking the enterance, standing in a defensive manner her lashing her tail from side to side. She smacked her tal on his back and made him collapse. "Don't wallow in self-pity...you did nothing wrong...you really have to learn how to conceal the emotion on your face...you looked as distraught as a 3 legged rabbit." she growled.

Grimjaw growled when his body hit the den's floor. He looked up at the angry she-cat, his own anger flaring up inside him. "I don't know what you call self-pity, but I think it's laying on the ground doing nothing while the rest of your clan is suffering because of your absence," he snapped. It's true that Crow was helping him and his clan, and he was grateful for her. But his weakness led his anger to spill over, which never normally happened. He was a very clam and collected cat. Staggaring to he feet again, he faced Crow, panting and his gaze on the ground. "Let me pass...." he growled, his tone low and threatening.

"You will lay down as I have commanded you to! If you die, your Clan will suffer even more than they are now from weakness! LAY DOWN!" she snarled, pushing him back into his place. "You're too hot headed and strong willed for your own good..." she echoed after he had fallen.
