"Hey, Chief." Cedarpaw mewed over to the gloomy tom, also stretching his aching paws. At least they were starting to heal up, thank Starclan. The 'apprentice' was beginning to wonder if they'd ever heal. "How was your nap?" He said, padding over to Grimjaw. "That back of yours still bothering you?" He mewed, a hint of concern in his voice. "I can get you something if you need it." He wasn't going to force the tom to do anything. Grimjaw could actually be pretty intimidating, now that he thought of it.

Grimjaw just glanced at Cedarpaw, then directed his view back to the clearing. "I'm fine," he rumbled, getting to his paws. Altough he was feeling fine now, Grimjaw remembered how he hated being stuck in the medicine cat den. "I'm going for a walk," he huffed heading for the den enterence. He suddenly stopped and looked back over his shoulder at the apprentice. "Are you gonna be ok?" he asked gruffly. "You've been away for a while so I wouldn't recommend going hunting or anything, but you should probably stick with someone until you get used to camp life again."

"Stick with someone? Like who?" The tom mewed, catching up to Grimjaw. He scuffed the dirt absently with his paws, even though just hardly flexing them sent a small shiver of pain up his legs. Cedarpaw raised his eyebrows slightly, expression light and almost carefree.

Grimjaw let a small smile cross his face. Cedarpaw had always been a great cat, and the tom respected him even though he was only an apprentice. "Anyone you like," he replied. "You can take a walk with me if you like. I'm sure everyone's more settled since the DawnClan cats left."

"I can come with you?" he mewed. "Awesome! Where are we going?" He said, shaking his pelt slightly as he padded and jumped noisily forwards. Sometimes he couldn't help but acting like an overly-excitable apprentice. His eyes trailed ahead into the gloomy and somewhat depressing territory of Sunsetclan. For some reason though, the darkness was almost comforting. The shade, the dense cover of trees sometimes makes you feel even safer then out in some open meadow.

Grimjaw smiled again as the apprentice jumped up and down like an excited kit. "I'm just going for a walk around the territory and maybe do some hunting along the way. Nothing big. So, you up for it?" he replied, padding ahead to the tunnel.

"Am I up for it?" Cedarpaw laughed, stopping himself for a moment or two. He glanced over his shoulder with an embarassed grin on his face. Luckily no one but Grimjaw had seen that. "Of course I am." he said, tailing the warrior.

Grimjaw just nodded and slipped quietly though the tunnel, his tail brushing the sides as he padded out. The air was thick and heavy, wet with rain. The tom smiled as he continued through the dank forest, the watery scents of the air and trees, bushes and herbs wafting gently around the rocks and dirt. Further into the trees, the air became heavier and a small stinging mist started to fall. "We'd better hurry before the prey runs for cover," he called over his shoulder to Cedarpaw.

"What prey?" Cedarpaw mewed louder than he meant to, and was immediately silenced by Grimjaw's tail angrily flicking into his mouth. He spat it out, embarrassed. He padded forwards, cool and soft mud oozing through his damp paws and leaving a clear set of pawprints behind the duo.

Grimjaw enojyed the hunt in the rain. His pain seemed to melt away for that small time, and since a reasonable amount of prey was caught, he was satisfied with the day. "Come on, Cedarpaw," he called over his shoulder. "We'd better head back now." With his two thrushes and large squirrel in his jaws, he began padding back to camp, his gait slow and enjoying the coolness of the forest.
