A smile curved Aztec's lips for a brief second before disappearing. That was her job after all, making her packmates better, whether through herbs and medicines, or plain old confidence boosters. She nodded to Aubry and padded back to her den to begin going through her pils and piles of herbs.

Aubry saw the small smile that had appeared on Aztec's face and felt better about herself she had naver really spoken to her that much but was glad they had shared that moment together. Abury turned around and left the den.

Amri felt his hackles raise and his lips curl into a snarl as Zara left. 'Moron...' he thought angrily, 'She thinks she can escape from every danger just because we're weres...Just wait...just wait until the danger finds her first' he thought bitterly, muttering to himself, though he didn't realize it.

Zara had padded back to her den and was sprawled out on her bed. "Amri," she barked. "Get in here."

Amri reluctantly rose to his broad paws and strode gracefully over to Zara's den. He slipped into the den and allowed his eyes to adjust to the dim light that filtered through a crack in the den. "What...."

Zara's head lay back on her hands which were behind her neck. She was laying on her bed, her eyes closed and she neither opened them nor made any indication she was going to look at Amri when she spoke. "You've been skulking about lately. Muttering under your breath. And you seem angry at something..." This time, she opened her eyes and turned her head to stare at the brute. "Or someONE.... Tell me, Amri, what's bothering you."

Amri growled. "If it was any of your business I'd let you know..." he growled and left the den, pelting into the forest for a good long hunt. Anger sparked and flared off of him like firework as he halted to see the two dead meat puppets on the ground with expressions of horror marking their pale faces.

Zara rolled her eyes. "He's worried about the stupid meat puppets finding us," she scoffed to herself. Her nose twitched as the scent of blood lingered in the air in her den. She would never be able to sleep with the temptation, so she picked the pieces up and shoved the scraps into the fire. She lay back down on her bed and waited 'till the beautiful smell put her to sleep. He'll be back. He knows nothing will happen.

Amri felt hot breath slither down his spine and turned around to meet the fierce gaze of Aztec. He leapt back in surprise with a growl. "What do you want!" he snarled, letting his fur lie flat again.

Aubry was watching from a distance not thinking this was going to turn out very smoothly. She stood up and trotted to go find somthing to eat. She was still in hearing distance so she could hear if anything went wrong, but she did not want it to look like she was esdropping on them.

Aztec growled at the remark. "Don't bark at me!" she growled back, considering hitting him with her staff. Once she had clamed a bit her expressoin showed a sign of more concern than anger. "Come into my den, Amri," she said soothingly. "Please." She did not wait for him to follow, but simply padded into her den, hoping the brute would follow.

Amri tilted his head, but followed respectfully. The walls of her den were painted with vibrant colors and black paintings. "What?" he asked.

"Please, sit down," she asked gently, showing him a bed. She padded further back into the den and leaned her staff against a wall. She looked up at her shelves, her eyes scanning quickly across the piles of herbs, berries, and potions. She picked out a few leaves from one of the piles near the back and went back over to Amri. "Eat these," she soothed, handing him the leaves. "They'll help calm you down."

Amri growled. "I don't need to be calmed..." he said, placing his hands over the lapping flames. "Why do you care anyway?"

Aztec sighed and held back a growl. "Just eat them you big meat-puppet," she teased. "And I care because I'm the healer of the pack. It's my job to keep everyone healthy and happy. Now eat them before I have to use a spell or my staff." She outstreched her arms toward him again, the leaves within his reaching distance.
