--Dawn--
I was sure of it now. I could not just waltz into Taevi's castle and steal some evidence. For sure, they would smell my unfamiliar scent all over the place and suspect me immediately, and if they knew it was my scent, it would be even worse. Maybe I could talk to Taevi, Desmond, hopefully some vampire would be around at this time of morning. She was probably still curled up with that guy, like they were when Cillain had gone to see them days ago. Honestly, it would not surprise me. As the castle came into view, my hand reached around my neck and yanked on the thin leather rope tied around it. Like a pendant, dangling off the end of this necklace was the small silver dagger I never left home without. In one swift motion, I pulled it loose and slid it down my pants pocket. I was never one for letting my enemies catch me off guard. Pockets were just more accesable. The stench of, well, vampire overwhelmed me as I neared the front door. As I looked at it, studying the intricate wooden door, I started to remember the last time I was here. Lost in thought for the time being, I reached out a hesitant hand and began to knock. As if I needed to. It was more of a common courtesy thing, I guess. Most likely everyone knew I was here already.

Aithne's tail flicked back and forth lazily. She was lying on the ground on her back, staring at the ceiling. This was the first chance in days she'd been able to take a little breather but once again, her leisure would be interrupted. A frown appeared on her face as Lucan's scent slithered through the doorway. The vampiress sat up and looked around the foyer, hoping there was someone else there she could yell at to get the door. Unfortunately, there was no one else. She growled to herself as she sprung to her feet and wrapped her tail back around her leg. "This had better be important," she hissed as she opened the door. Her eyes were narrowed, almost in a scowl, and it was clear that she wasn't in the mood to deal with more vampires not of her own clan.

"Oh. Aithne." Lucan quickly said as he straightened up a little in stance. The waves of frustration were rolling off her like a fierce summer storm. It sure was hard to keep up his gentleman act, especially when THIS was how other vampires reacted to it. ... ((*smacks head* I forgot this is first person.))
Sheesh, I was only trying to be diplomatic, and this was where it got me. I kept my cool, though, not letting this vampire get the best of me. Most likely, she knew I couldn't stand this kind of treatment. I was a vampire king, and as time passed by I was beginning to realize that I should be FAR more respected than this. I kept this to myself, though, and the only sign of my exasperation was a slight furrow of my eyebrows. That could easily be disguised as being deeply in thought. Hesitantly, I peeked into the hallway, past Aithne's narrowed gaze. "It is of the utmost importance, I promise you. " I said smoothly, attempting to appear unfazed. "Is Lady Taevi around? I need to speak with her."

((Crap. I totally forgot about first person when I changed my character xP))
My eyes narrowed further as a reaction to Taevi's name. She'd been off with Desmond for quite some time. It was as if she'd completely forgotten about the coven she was supposed to be running. Not to mention the death threat from the wolves that was looming over everyone. Why the hell was she acting as if everything was perfectly fine? "Some queen," I hissed under my breath, though I was sure Lucan had heard me. I met his gaze and sighed. Lucan was a good guy and a king no less, and here I was, acting like his superior. "I apologize for my behavior," I replied, making a slight bow of respect. "But unfortunately, Taevi is no where to be found... Though she is in the castle. You may come in and look for her if you wish and if anyone questions your presence, tell them I let you in." A smile etched its way onto my lips. No one in the coven woulud question my decision to let Lucan in. Except for Taevi. But I decided I would cross that bridge when I came to it.

Some queen, eh? I could relate, that was for sure. Christabella's fairly recent actions had put me in the exact same boat as Aithne, but definitely worse. Silver Rose knew what it was like to have a queen who deserted them.
Now that I thought about it even more, the situations were strikingly...similar. We had both had our leadership difficulties. Except for in this case, both the king AND the queen had run off to somewhere within this desolate castle. Where, I didn't know. I wasn't even sure if I wanted to know, knowing those two.
"I apologize for my behavior"" So she had picked up on my body language. I had tried to make my annoyance not so obvious, but, Aithne had clearly seen right through it. I dipped my head in a slight thank you. She would understand my body language, this I knew now.
Therefore, I couldn't hide the fact that when she said I could come in, my eyes lit up. I tried my hardest to keep calm, cool, and collected (my usual attitude attempt).
"Thank you." I said respectfully, talking a quick step in and softly closing the door behind me. "I would guess that she is upstairs somewhere? Let me know if I'm mistaken, or if there's any place you don't want me to...go? I wouldn't want to start any sort of war here." I said, referring back to the wolves. WHY was it always the wolves?

I stepped aside to let him through and shook my head. "We've got nothing to hide," I replied. "But I'd keep out of that one room in the halway, the third door on the left. Lia is in there working and it looked like she didn't want to be disturbed." I strode over to the firplace which was practically dead. I let my jaws loosen and a small jet of flame errupted from them, jolting the fire back to life. Being a half-demon had its advantages after all. "One more thing," I called to Lucan, not turning around. The fire was just so appealing, I didn't want to look away. "Divay is here and Artemis is with him. I'd recommend avoiding them if you can. If they give you any trouble, just yell."

"So that's where Lia's working. How's that going, by the way?" I asked nonchalantly, all the while knowing that she must be close. Otherwise, the wolves would not be as worked up and angry as they were now. If she didn't hurry up and finish soon, I could bet that Zara would be mad. If Zara found out that I had framed her...well, she'd be even more mad. I didn't like to think about that, though. What I needed to do was keep up my facade of concerned vampire king. In truth, I could care less about what happened to this coven at the moment.
My head turned, and my gaze drifted back over to Aithne as I strode through the entranceway. She seemed to be almost mesmerized by the flames. I guess it should not have surprised me, with her practically being a demon. Demons did have a thing for fire, I thought.
Artemis? I thought, my dark eyes instantly narrowing. My hands slid back into my pockets, eyes briefly closing. Is it possible...for them to have created a new vampire without any of us knowing? This was slightly problematic. I was not expecting a new vampire to be hanging around the castle. So that must have been why Aithne said to avoid them. It makes sense now. Divay, however, I had no problems with. Maybe if he stopped flirting with Christabella, I might actually like him.
((He doesn't realize Atremis is a tiger xP.))
