The moon was suddenly shrouded by thunderclouds, pale light being blocked by the cold rain that fell from the sky. The trees stretched in rejoice their aching limbs cracking and creeking as the rain pattered on the pavement. A castle towered over a cliff that steeped into a vast meadow. It's stone walls sheilded the cold breeze away and the gargoyles opened their mouths, letting out the rain from the gutters in spews of water.
A lithe woman stepped out from under the wrought iron gate with pointed ends, her raven black hair dripping with rain. As she gazed in the direction of the hidden moon she hissed. The werebeasts must be at their strongest...the moon is full, but covered. That should take away a small amount of power, she thought as she drew her curved fingernails through her dark hair. Her fingertips touched lightly at the black ribbon choker as she let out a small laugh. Not that I should truly be worried...
The fire in the fireplace roared and the bearskin rug lay with its jaw slacked and open. The lavishly covered thrones and other iron wrought chairs lay in a distinct pattern in the ballroom. The wooden floor was neatly polished and bottled of blood were placed at every table and mantle. Rain patted at the windows and the wind howled as loud as a full grown werebeast. Taevi narrowed her bright eyes and slid off her black and red cloak. Now...where are the others... she thought.

Out of the shadows Desmond walked from behind Taevi when he reached her back he tied his muscular arms around her thin waist. He turned his head slightly to whisper in her ear. "Full moon tonight you no what that means." He said smoothly

A small seductive hiss escaped her mouth. "The werebeasts are at their strongest, I heard Amri and Aztec howling up a storm. Another war will arise from the smoke of the last, you know that right..." she said, removing herself from his strong embrace. "The cure must be hidden, we imprisoned them for a reason...but if they don't get the cure, they'll become stronger and even more thirsty. And who knows...maybe their thirst for human and animal blood will wear off and who will they hunt next. I can't allow my people to cower in fear of the werewolves." she hissed.

Desmond looked at her shocked for a moment thinking about what she said. "hmm..... you are right but where would we hide it where they would not even think of looking for it?" He spoke. "They would turn the whole place upside down! Where hide it?" He said unevenly

The rain pelted harder and harder as the night drew on, slashing through the thickest of trees and the toughest of rocks. A large, black shadow slithered along the ground, moving slowly and stealthily and no stopping for any obsacle in its path. It clawed its way through the forest, leaving enormous gashes in trees and rocks. As the forest neared its end, the trees became thinnner and easier to see through. A black castle rose above the hillside and called the lightening to its rest on the spines of the dark roof that houses the Tainted Fang Coven. The bleak shadow now crossed the meadows that streched before the might of the towering castle, as if bowing to its power. The shadow quickened it pace until it reached the unmistakeable castle gate, studded with bloody spikes and spears. Without hesitating, the dark figure slid underneath the door and into the cold darkness that was imprisioned behind the massive walls.
Aithne slowly rose from the shadow on the floor, her eyes narrowed and focused on none other than Taevi. Her lips drew back in a creul snarl and she approached the vampiress, not the smallest flicker of fear in her. She tore open her blood red wings, sending a shower of stinging rain drops across the ballroom in all directions. A few caught Desmond on the shoulder and arm and dissolved into the sleeves of his jacket. Another snarl errupted from her throat and she stopped a few feet away from the vampire couple, clenching her fists so hard it looked as if she might snap her very hands off.
"Teavi..." she hissed menacingly. "Do you have any idea what happened in the forest tonight?" Her arrow-headed tail lashed back and forth in anger, threatening to slice open anyone who wandered too close.

"Yes Aithne, I have caught note of the werebeasts attacking the north castle." she said, holding the half-demon's gaze steadily. No fear crept into her heart, but she made her way across the room, and poured blood into her goblet. "I heard Amri and Aztec howling, did you see them...what were they doing..." she said, placing herself into the red velvet throne. "

Desmond walked up to Aithne. "hmm....do you think the other coven is in danger." Desmond questioned as he brushed his hand through his hair. Then he looked over at Teavi.

"Not the covens...The rogues, they're making the cure right now. I made an agreement with 2 rogues.....Oh, what were their names...ah yes, Lia and Skye. They promised to keep it a secret and I don;t truly know how Amri found out." she hissed.

Aithne hissed again and it echoed off the walls of the ballroom. "I'm not talking about the rouges' castle," she growled. "I'm talking about the three patrols you sent out a few hours ago. They were all attacked by werebeast scouts and all of them died." She whipped around and strod for the door, not waiting for a response to her news. She stopped briefly at the door and said, "By the way, I'm going to check on those rouges, since you seem to care for them more than the coven," she hissed, a hint of sour humor in her voice. A flash of her wings and the doors flew open, smashing into the sides of the castle. The demon vampiress took but two steps outside before melting into the ground like the rain that poured around her. The giant shadow appeared once again and blazed off across the fields, leaving no trail.

"What!" Desmond growled . "Why was I not told about this!" He yelled. His face turned red and he smashed the chair next to him throwing pieces of wood in every direction . "There WILL be a war and we will be ready!" He hissed beween his teeth.

"Calm down Desmond!!" she roared. "The coven needs a long sleep, which is why the elders are still at rest. I will protect my coven with tooth and blade if I must. If there will be a war, so be it, but so help me I will be ready, and I will protect my family. Go find the dead vampires and bring them back so they can be healed. I won't let death stop me..." she said with narrowed eyes. "Lokvey! Come my child." she called. A huge anthro vampire bat fell from the ceiling and landed near her feet. His left eye was nothing but a black hold and his ear was torn to shreds. Scars marked his fur and he let out a high pitched screech, clawing at the carpet, his wings flapping impatiently.

Desmond looked at her and nodded. He took off into the night. Searching for the bodys that were lying in the wet dirt. When he finally got all the bodies he could remeber were sent out on the patrols. He returned back, carrying the bodies, and took them to Teavi. He went up beside her. "Here." He said smoothly.

Teavi gazed up and him and scattered the bodies across the floor. "Desmond, please go to the storage and retrieve some blankets and pillows and food for them. They need to get as much of their strength back as possible. Her fingers worked silently, quickly and gently tapping of different parts of their bodies. Suddenly the first one's eyes flew open. Her grasp on her longbow loosened and her muscles tensed as she gazed into the eyes of her leader. "Lady Teavi!" she shrieked. "Rest" Teavi hissed angrily. "Lokvey, please help Desmond with the chores I have asked." she soothed the screeching beast. The large bat chittered in his language and thundered off into the dining hall.

Desmond moments later returned with stacks of crimson red, and emerald green blankets, and pillows. "What do you think will happen? The only thing I can think of is war, and we are in no condition for that." He said staring into her eyes. He took his hand, and placed it on her cheek. "The Rouge's only have two vampires, and we have week ones, we don't have a chance. The werebeast are very strong, and at the moment we are very week." He said doubtfully, and rubbed circles under her eye with his tumb.
