Jackalkit picked out a plump rabbit, grbbing it by the furry tail and even thought it tickled his nose he sucked it up and dragged it into the Nursery placing it in front of Iriswater. "Iriswater..." he mewed with a sigh, "I'm sorry, I let my anger get the best of me and a Warrior cannot do that..." he mewled, putting his head down as he looked at the ground. He walked to the mouth of the den and plopped down, gazing at the sky and smiling. What would it be like to be a Warrior... he dreamed.

After she brought the cats there food, she left the den, and went into the tall grasses to a little stone, she always went there when she was sad. She layed on the stone and rested her head on her paws, and waited for the sky to fall, and the moon to shine.

Iriswater smiled after the kit. Hopefully they've bother learned something from this. She dragged the rabbit closer and looked at Snowsong. "Would you like to share, Snowsong? I'm not hungry enough to this all by myself."

Snowsong looked over at the small kit, feeling the remorse and regret that he felt. With a flick of her tail, she spoke over to him, hoping not to startle him. "Jackalkit," She purred in a friendly way. She didn't want to scare this kit for life, just help him know what was right and what was wrong. "I'm sure that Iriswater appreciates your apology, but that doesn't change what you did. Just always know that 'sorry' doesn't make everything better. Knowing what is right is also part of being a warrior" Not sure if the kit was listening or not, she turned over to Iriswater. "Sure, I'd love to share some." Right on cue, her stomach gave a small rumble.

Jackalkit's eyes fell to his paws again as he sat at the enterance. "You're right Snowsong, I have to start behaving like a Warrior..." he meowed.

When the stars reached the sky, and the moon was bright with light, she looked into the stars. "Mom I wish you were with me, I wish you could teach me right from wrong, I wish you could yell at me when bad, and smile at me when good, but mom I just really wish.......you were here, and here to love and be with me." She said to the sky to Starclan, and hoped her mother heard. "Mommy I love you." She said and tears ran from her eyes.

"That's better now Jackalkit." Snowsong mewed with empathy as she looked at the sulking tom. He regretted what he had done, that was for sure. "Do you need to go see Thorntail?" She asked, her Queen-like instincts kicking in as she paddled over to the kit, looking him over. He didn't seem to be badly hurt, just a little shaken. "I'm sure he has a poultice or something he can put on those scratches if they're bothering you.." She purred, brushing the kit as another thought struck her. 'What about Thistlekit?!" She meowed eagerly, ears perking up. "Is she ok?" Leaving Jakalkit in stunned silence, she went tearing out of the den. "Thistlekit?" She mewed in a friendly manner, not wanting the kit to run away in fear of punishment. Her white pelt glowed in the soft moonlight as she scanned the premisis with her mismatched eyes.

Iriswater's ears pricked at Thistlekit's name. The kit had disappeared after the tussle and hadn't come back into the den. Wincing as she got to her feet, she padded to the enterence of the den. The moon was still out, but it was sinking and the sun was beginning to rise, coloring the forest with brilliant shades of yellow, orange, and pink. Iriswater scanned the clearing, hoping to see Thistlekit. Jakalkit was just inside the den and Snowsong was calling for Thistlekit outside.

The tears spread across her face, soaking into her fur. She was waiting, waiting for her mothers voice to come to her to tell her everything was going to be okay, that she was with her and will help her find her way. She stayed looking at the sky waiting.

"Thistlekit?" Snowsong purred a little bit louder, anxiousness creeping into her voice. "Where are you? You need to come out now." She took a careful steps farther, peering deeper into the long grasses of the camp. Now the queen was starting to get a little nervous. Where was Thistlekit?

Thistlekit started to get up. "Sorry mommy, I have to go, but I will be back to tomorrow night...I miss you......sorry." She got up and stepped down from the bolder and pushed through the grasses. She walked past Snowsong looking up at her, not saying a word, tears still ran from her face, but lightened up some, her face was wet, and crisp from them. She walked into the den, and sat on the ground, putting her head on the floor.

Iriswater sighed, relieved that the kit had returned to the den. Padded over to Thistlekit, she picked her up gently by the scruff and padded to the back of the den, laying down and placing the sad kit inbetween her forepaws. Purring softly, Iriswater began to lick Thistlekit's head, softly and gently as her own mother would. She just must be feeling lonely.
Opening her eyes, Forestfur blinked as the morning sun shown into the den and moved her to her paws. She streched as she normally did and padded out into the clearing, hoping to see a familiar face. When she realized that only Snowsong was out, she padded over to the white queen, a warm smile on her face. "Good morning, Snowsong. How are you?"

Thistlekit looked at the ground. This is nice, but I wish it was my real mom, well I will take what I can get I guess. She blinked her eyes a couple times to stop the tears. "Iriswater when are you going to have your kits?" She asked still staring at the floor.

Iriswater smiled and purred. "I don't really know," she answered, her tone anxious. She looked down at her own belly, swollen, bulging, and heavy. "But I think soon..."

"Oh I see." She said and then looked up at her. "Iriswater do you like having a big family?" She asked and looked at Iriswaters belly.
